After creating the profile of the legs using a lathe, a helix design was carved into the legs using a rasp.
Once each component was finished, the legs were glued into the top of the stool.

Stool was thoroughly sanded to prevent slivers and to give the stool an appealing smooth finish.
Danish Oil was used as the finish to enhance the natural color of the cherry wood. This made the stool more welcoming to users.
Edge of stool was rounded so it was more comfortable to sit on.

Spatula
Prompt
Design a spatula out of a supplied block of wood using a bandsaw, hand tools, and sand paper. This spatula should be aesthetically pleasing and ergonomically sound. The handle should be comfortable in the users hand and when using the product the users knuckles should not touch the table or stove.

Parallel handle and flipper ensure hand doesn't get burnt.

Stencil of the top and side profile.

Initial cut with bandsaw and beginning of the handle carving process.
